Most guests love the view of the Panama Canal that this property offers. Others recommend avoiding rooms in the back of the property and upgrading or requesting a room with a balcony overlooking the canal since it is fairly affordable and really improves the experience.

They say that everything is within walking distance, including the largest mall in Central America, the Albrook Mall, as well as the Bridge of Americas, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute and other popular tourist favorites.

Some mention that while misunderstandings do happen with employees whose English skills are not the best, everything is quickly resolved and guests are followed up with after the fact. Others say that the reception desk staff is especially approachable and can be turned to with requests, which are quickly fulfilled.

Several guests note that some of the rooms have a distinct musky odor, possibly caused by the AC units. They recommend ventilating the room by opening the windows and asking for air-fresheners at the reception desk, which eliminates the smell quickly.

Several guests note having difficulty when trying to sort out issues with the employees. They say that housekeeping employees speak poor English, which can make it difficult to request things. They recommend making arrangements with the reception desk employees instead, all whom speak excellent English.

A few guests recommend scouting the local restaurants that are nearby and eating local delicacies, saying that they feel the onsite restaurant offers few choices and at a high price. Others note that local restaurants offer diverse meals at much more affordable prices.
