Not only is this hotel literally steps to the Arc de Triomphe, it's only minutes to Metro stations. Guests said it's ideal because it's so close to many points of interest or near transportation to get you to other areas around the city. It's also close to shops and chain stores where you can get drinks, snacks, toiletries, etc. if needed.
Most guests remarked that the staff was friendly and helpful when they needed assistance. They seem to do their best to help everyone who comes through their door and they speak excellent English.
While not all of the rooms offer fantastic views, the guests who managed to stay in some of the balconies mentioned that they had great views from the room such as the top of the Eiffel Tower or the Arc de Triomphe.
A few visitors mentioned that the place feels a bit tired and old. They claim elevators and hallways have dank smells. Others mentioned poor lighting, stained bathrooms, stale smoke odours and broken televisions.
Some guests thought the food was a bit expensive for what you get, especially breakfast. Others mentioned that some of the menu items themselves are far from French because they include American dishes, like burgers. They suggest if you want French cuisine to make sure that you eat off site.
Some travellers mentioned they lack four-star hotel amenities. They mention issues such as no fitness gym, no spa, average bathrooms and uncomfortable beds. Much of what you might expect with the four-star hotel is simply isn't here according to some visitors.
