Putaruru Hotel is located in the centre of Putaruru. The hotel was built in an Art-Deco style in 1952 and hasn't nearly been touched since. To stay in this hotel you need to appreciate the old character and style. The room set up and facilities are very rudimentary; simple but clean and tidy. The 24/7 staff is friendly and helpful. There is a backpacker kitchen, dining room, laundry and 2 pantries with fridge, microwave and coffee/tea making facilities and of course FREE WIFI available for all the guests. For a great coffee, breakfast, lunch or dinner visit the restaurant The Cook Cafe and Bar next door. . Standard Rooms: There are single, double, family or studio rooms, or for those who wish to have a more cost based approach, there are 9 backpacker rooms available. All Standard hotel rooms have their own bathroom with shower and toilet. The hand basin is in the room. The Queen Rooms are more spacious and have TV, fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities. Bathrooms have bath, basin and toilet. Come and enjoy the warm Kiwi Hospitality in the heart of the Waikato. The beautiful Blue Springs, Arapuni Dam or Waikato Trial is worthwhile visiting when you hit Putaruru.
