All the meals served at the hotel including the freshly prepared breakfasts, have been highly praised by the guests. The food was described as very tasty made using quality local produce such as fresh fish and game and the menus were said to be quite extensive with most guests finding something that they like.

Most of the rooms are located on the upper floors and some guests found the daily climb to their rooms quite tiring. Those who arrived at the hotel with heavy items of luggage objected having to climb the stairs as there is no lift on the premises.
