Guests were pleased to find that they could walk to the centre of town where there are plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants and leave their cars parked at the hotel. Those who wanted to visit the beach could also dos so on foot without having to get taxis or public transport as the Whitesands beach is a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel.
The cooked breakfasts at the hotel have been described as being fresh and full of flavour. Guests savoured the freshly prepared Welsh breakfasts and were also complimentary about the buffet items which included plenty of local produce and a wide variety of cereals and fresh fruit and pastries.
Guests were very complimentary about their rooms describing them as spacious and tastefully decorated with equally large and modern bathrooms. Many appreciated the various amenities in the rooms including fridges and espresso machines which contributed to a very pleasant and comfortable stay.
Although there are quite a few restaurants and pubs within walking distance, some guests were inconvenienced by not being able to have their evening meal at the hotel. After a day of sightseeing, guests said that they found it cumbersome having to go elsewhere for dinner.
There is no lift within the building which meant that guests whose rooms were located on the upper floors faced a daily climb up the narrow steps which some found quite tiring.
Some guests found the walls to be rather on the thin side as they could hear the creaking of floor boards above them as well as other noise from the adjoining rooms.
