Park Hotel am Berliner Tor (Hamburg, Germany)

Guests were pleased to find that the hotel is situated near Berliner Tor, the metro station for the U-Bahn and S-Bahn. This made it easy for them to explore all of central Hamburg, without having to bother with driving during their stay. Many previous guests also noted that it's only a 20-minute walk to downtown.

Several guests noted that at the time of their stay, the Wyndham Garden Hamburg City Centre Berliner Tor was the lowest priced hotel in the area. Accommodations in the city tend to be expensive, so this was a great relief to travelers who were then able to use the money they saved on other area pursuits.

The majority of guests loved the breakfast buffet served in the hotel's restaurant. They found it had an ample selection of fresh foods, and in fine weather many enjoyed eating on their outdoor terrace.

The hotel bills itself as being a four star establishment, but many guests felt that they just didn't quite measure up to that standard. They tended to describe the quality of the accommodations and amenities as being more in line with a three star hotel.

Quite a few guests experienced a number of small maintenance issues during their stay. The list of complaints included phones that didn't work, broken shower doors, cantankerous A/C units, and burnt out lightbulbs.

Many guests were put off by the initial appearance of the hotel. They noted that the landscaping left something to be desired, and that the outside of the building looked distinctly shabby. Most guests, however, found the interior to be, while not perfect, generally much more satisfactory.
