The hotel is in a bad state and needs repair, both inside and out. Furniture and fixtures are broken. Paint is chipped and peeling and the hotel suffers from pest management issues with cockroaches which run rampant throughout rooms. There is also an unpleasant smell throughout. There are wires hanging down from ceilings and walls and holes in the plaster. Room doors often don't lock, TVs don't work, and electrical outlets seem to be for decoration instead of functionality.

Management does not place customer service high on their list of necessities. Concerns and questions will often get rude replies. Business management also is lacking as some rooms are given away before arrival and special requests aren't honoured.

The hotel rooms routinely lack basic necessities, such as hangars for clothes, irons, and blow dryers. Also, there is no breakfast served nor free coffee or tea in the lobby. Many rooms don't have air conditioners and have no hot water for showers. The toilets often clog and toilet paper isn't always offered.
