OYO Hotel Miramar (Llanelli, United Kingdom)

A couple of guests mentioned that they really liked the fact that the hotel was small. Things just seemed far more friendly and intimate than at a big chain hotel or motel.

The on-site Cabana Grill Restaurant was definitely what guests most appreciated during their stay at Miramar. It has a good reputation locally, and guests seemed to agree with them that it serves very good honest and hearty traditional fare.

While there were some contrary opinions, the majority mentioned that, while daily maintenance was often an issue, their rooms were very clean on check-in.

A couple of guests mentioned that there was a nearby pub that was especially loud. Those trying to get any sort of early night found themselves out of luck. Light sleepers should consider bringing earplugs.

Several guests mentioned that they had a very hard time getting hold of staff during their stay. It seems that the focus is more on the bar and restaurant, with its employees also responsible for the accommodation. Guests reckoned that they simply didn't have enough staff to cope.

Guests were pretty much universally unimpressed with the décor and furnishings. Fabrics were described as frayed and other surfaces broken or chipped. It was even mentioned that one room had a very old fitted carpet….in its bathroom. Guests simply felt the rooms were many years beyond their due date for an update.
