O'Brien Riverwalk Boutique Hotel (San Antonio, USA)

Guests liked the fact that the hotel is within easy walking distance of the Riverwalk with all of its shops, restaurants, bars and scenic views.

The hotel is a budget-friendly alternative to expensive hotels on the Riverwalk, and it provides many wonderful amenities nonetheless. For example, your stay includes free high-speed Wi-Fi, breakfast, coffee and weekday newspapers, and you can also use the hotel's business center, pool and laundry services. There is complimentary guest parking across the street as well, which guests seemed to particularly enjoy.

The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, which includes typical stapes like eggs, sausages, cereal, fruit and yogurt as well as unique Texas-shaped waffles.

The hotel rooms are only single pane, so the lack of sound insulation means that you can hear all of the traffic going by the hotel to include the city buses, if you have a room facing the busy street. Guests recommended asking for a room away from the street or bringing a pair of earplugs along.

While some guests experienced nothing but pleasant service, others reported being welcomed in a less-than-friendly way. They noted that some of the front-desk staff seemed unwilling to offer decent customer service and provide helpful answers.

Guests reported that some of the rooms weren't perfectly clean, as they found a moldy odor and dirty bathrooms. They also stated that the furniture was old and in need of replacement and that the toilets weren't functioning too well.
