New Union Hotel (Manchester, United Kingdom)

This is a perfect setting for those who wish to enjoy some nightlife in the city!  An ideal gay-friendly spot, superbly situated about ten minutes' stroll from public transportation (such as both Manchester's Piccadilly and Oxford stations) and smack in the centre of many pubs, cafes and clubs, including the downstairs pub on the hotel's own premises, this is not the best place for those who need a lot of quiet time.  One very nice touch is that once you receive your keys, you can utilize a separate entrance to the hotel besides entering through the bar.

Very clean rooms and bathrooms provide plenty of tea/coffee making provisions and fresh towels/linens daily.  The beds will probably be the most comfortable you've ever slept on, just like many others have expressed.  The memory foam is absolutely delightful!  You'll have Wi-Fi and private facilities, plenty of hot water for bathing and a little bit of room for storing clothes in the wardrobe - keeping a few things in your suitcase might be necessary here as well due to limited space.

You'll find the staff here warm and friendly (perhaps with the exception of one) and you'll enjoy their positivity and enthusiasm. Definitely ready to cater to your every need. They'll be happy to allow you to keep luggage stored behind reception and text you once preparations have been made if you're waiting.

Rooms could use a bit more illumination.

Make sure your passwords work before you leave the front desk.

Plenty of average-volume conversations can be heard through the walls.  Bring your earplugs.
