Superb locale for the price. Very clean, quiet, and cozy with excellent proximity to the interstate and popular sites of the area (Mount Rushmore, Lassen Volcano Park, and seasonally, the Sturgis Bike Rally). Gated parking area offers increased feeling of security at night. Right next door to a pizza parlor if you arrive hungry and don't feel like doing anymore driving- just stroll on over. Slightly farther out, you'll find additional convenient dining options and coffee cafes. Dog-friendly with free fresh fruit and daily newspapers in the lobby. Rooms have optimally-functioning air conditioning, comfortable beds, refrigerators, microwaves, spacious vanity areas, nice televisions, stellar lighting and reading lamps, and larger suites have "sleepy bear" decor in attached rooms, delightful for traveling with children. If you're lucky, you may even get your own little "bear" for the little ones! Breakfast is either a to-go bag (consists of yogurt, a granola bar, an apple and juice) or a voucher for nearby Lumberjack's restaurant. Opt for the restaurant if you have time; it's high quality and tasty.
