Situated in a fantastic position right on the beach, and close to the ferry terminal, the Hotel Miramar Hotel is a stylish boutique property ideal for both leisure and nightlife. The 22 rooms have that sleek and modern Scandinavian look, and feature air conditioning, minibar, TV, in-room safe, hair dryer, work desk and telephone. Reception is open 24 hours and can assist with laundry, bike rental and full concierge services. Wi-Fi is free and accessible throughout the property, and paid parking is available nearby. A basic continental breakfast is available every morning. Later on, drinks and light meals can be ordered from the lounge bar, which has a great sea facing terrace. The main attraction is, of course, the beach just across the road. Valencia’s Old Town and cathedral are about 3.2 miles from Hotel Miramar, and the airport about 10 miles.
It was definitively Miramar's position right on the beach that most impressed guests. Even though it was some distance from Valencia's centre, most had come for a beach break, rather than a cultural visit, and were happy to have the object of their travels right out front.
Again and again guests mentioned that they found the staff at Miramar to be incredibly helpful. Many mentioned that they efficiently dealt with their query or issue, and also offered top practical advice on public transport routes and restaurant choices.
While the hotel is not in the centre of town, guests say it is easy to get to, with bus and tram stops nearby. These, they said, would take them directly in to the centre in no time at all with a minimum of fuss.
A couple of guests pointed out that there were no tea or coffee making facilities in their rooms. While of course these were available for purchase in the bar downstairs, or cafes out on the promenade, they sometimes just wished they could have made a quick cuppa in their room with a minimum of fuss.
It seems the great beachfront position did not come without any costs. Guests mention that there was quite a bit of noise from revellers passing by on the promenade out front, leading to difficulty for some to sleep.
It does not seem that the hotel has any sort of satellite TV subscription, and so a few guests mentioned that there were not many stations at all, much less English stations, available.
