Located on the south-est coast of Zanzibar, Mamamapambo is an award-winning boutique hotel, on the white beach of Jambiani and comprised of six unique rooms, it’s a perfect haven for pure escapism. MAMAMAPAMBO means “mother ornament”; this is the philosophy that animates our intimate, exclusive Boutique Hotel, which looks out onto the endless, uncontaminated Jambiani beach. Our attention to detail is absolute and everything here highlights the free spirit of Zanzibar – from the large, characteristic “makuti” roof to the garden in the interior courtyard, from the original furnishings to objects we’ve picked up during our travels, to our especial care in using only natural materials wherever possible. Our choice of limiting the number of rooms to 6 allows us to provide our guests with the right degree of privacy and an attentive service aimed at satisfying their every need. Our 2 Jungle Sea View Rooms are located in the first floor loft apartment and are characterized by the building’s original wooden roofs. Thanks to the privileged location of these rooms, guests can enjoy a beautiful sea view from the large, private veranda, equipped with comfortable and relaxing chairs. Meals can be served here on request. Also equipped with a large ceiling fan, mosquito net canopies, separate dressing room, bathroom with a large stone shower in the centre of the room and hot water. Our 2 Superior Sea View Rooms stand out for their position overlooking the sea. With a surface area of about 30 sqm, they are also furnished with “afro style” objects and feature a king-size bed with mosquito net canopy, screened windows, wooden flooring and a separate dressing room. Thanks to the rooms’ position and large openings, air conditioning is not necessary; furthermore, the rooms are equipped with ceiling fans that provide the required ventilation. The fully-equipped private veranda, the large bathrooms with large stone shower and hot water guarantee an excellent level of comfort. Our 2 Superior Garden View Rooms, located on the ground floor and with a surface area of about 30 sqm, are furnished in an ethnic style and are each characterized by a specific colour scheme. They feature a king-size bed with mosquito net canopy, screened windows, wooden flooring, separate dressing room and air conditioning, as well as a fully-equipped private veranda. The large bathrooms (10 sqm) have two washbasins, a large stone shower and hot water. A single bed can be added on request.
