Negative Reviews
negative:
Poor soundproofing.
Guests complained about being able to hear noise from the adjoining rooms as well as creaking floor boards from the suites above them. The lack of soundproofing meant that some guests experienced noise disturbances from the other rooms as well as the corridors.
negative:
Too many stairs.
Most of the guest rooms are situated on the upper floors and some guests struggled with the stairs which have been described as quite steep. Considering there is no lift many found the daily climb to their rooms quite tiring.
negative:
Limited dinner menu.
The a la carte menu was a bit too formal for some guests who preferred to have more options and a chance to order something lighter. For this reason, some guests chose to eat at the local pubs and cafes.
