Within the confines of a 19th century villa, Le Panoramic offers unbeatable views over the Nice cityscape. This Logis de France accredited hotel is just 10 minutes from Le Promenade des Anglais. Nine of the eleven en-suite rooms have sensational panoramic views over the city and / or the sea. Two have a balcony, whilst the triple and quadruple rooms come with a private terrace – ideal for soaking up the view. All have flat-screen TV. Le Panoramic offers free Wi-Fi to its guests and private parking is available for a supplement. Guests can enjoy a continental or American breakfast in the amazing 360° restaurant with even more incredible views. A Table d'Hote menu can be reserved in advance for dinner - except in July and August. Bus services pass by the hotel and there is a tram station a short walk away. The Cimiez Amphitheatre is three kilometres away.
Le Panoramic's unique feature and “wow” factor is unsurprisingly its incredible view - which is supposedly even better by night. Guests with a terrace or balcony are probably the happiest - although paying less is little compensation for the few guests who look over just a stone wall!
Although you may be attracted by the view, like many guests you are likely to leave feeling happy with the welcome you receive. Guests find the hosts ever so friendly and keen to give advice.
Although the hotel does not have a free car park, a lot of guests find that parking is not a problem on the streets around.
There is a price to pay for having such a spectacular view and that is climbing up a steep hill. If you can get a bus that's great, however, the service is limited and you may have to walk 15 minutes up or down the hill to the tram. This can be hard work with heavy luggage!
To have a view over the town, you're going to have to be ... out of town. Some guests, don't realise quite how far out of town it is and how difficult it is to access without a car. Taxis are expensive and the tram is 15 minutes walk away - then a further 15 minutes ride.
Some guests find that the hotel is a bit isolated, with nothing much around. If you don't want to eat in the hotel or its restaurant is closed (as it is in the summer) you are pretty much forced to go into town. Some guests are also a bit weary of walking around at night in the area.
