The hotel is surrounded by 130 acres of grounds which feature a rose garden, 7 ponds and woodland populated with natural wildlife. Guests thoroughly enjoyed walking around the grounds as well as sitting by the ponds and admiring the views.
Many of the guests enjoyed using the various facilities on offer at the spa including the pool, steam rooms and the Jacuzzi. Those who visited the gym said that it was spacious and modern with a wide range of up- to- date equipment. There are also lots of treatments on offer which were highly praised by majority of the guests.
The guest rooms were described as spacious and modern as well as having tasteful and stylish decor. Guests found everything they needed in their rooms from complimentary bottles of water through to robes and slippers. The bathrooms were also said to have all the mod-cons including power showers and heated rails.
Guests who stayed at the hotel during warmer weather said that their rooms felt uncomfortably warm due to a lack of air-conditioning units. Some did not want to open their windows and balcony doors because of insects and were therefore supplied with fans.
Some guests reported waiting rather a long time to get served at the bar whilst others also complained about waiting to get their meals at the restaurant. Similar issues were experienced during check-in and check- out as guests said that the reception was often unmanned.
The restaurant was said to lack any atmosphere and the decor reminded many of a canteen. There was no background music and guests who were hoping for a fine dining experience were left disappointed.
