With its spectacular location right on the Pacific Ocean, Hotel Las Rosas Hotel & Spa & Spa offers gorgeous sea views, luxury accommodation and extensive leisure amenities. All of the 47 well appointed rooms have a private balcony with spectacular ocean views. Each features cable TV, telephone, fast Wi-Fi, clothes iron and hairdryer. The seaside infinity pool is perhaps the most spectacular amenity, but there also a fitness center and tennis court for those who would like a bit more activity. The on-site spa offers a range of treatments from massage to body wraps. Wi-Fi is free of charge and available throughout the property. The on-site restaurant utilizes the very best local seafood meat and produce to create fresh and original dishes to delight and tantalize. Those not interested in the swimming or tennis on site will find much of interest in Ensenada, from extended coastal walks to a buzzing nightlife.
This was by far what most impressed guests about the hotel. It is quite literally right on the ocean. If it were any closer it would have a captain and crew, rather than a hotel manager and staff. While there is no real beach nearby, guests simply couldn’t get enough of the gorgeous ocean views.
Several guests specifically mention being apprehensive about safety in the city before arriving. While not commenting on the city as a whole, they were happy to report that the area around the hotel seemed well taken care of and perfectly safe.
Though some conceded that they may be too soft for others, those who liked soft and luxurious mattresses were very happy indeed with the beds at the hotel. They seemed to ensure a great night’s sleep.
Guests traveling in the cooler months were disappointed to find that the pool was unheated. They found that some days the weather was fine, and if the water were just a bit warmer they would have loved to go for a swim. As it was, they felt most guests would only be comfortable swimming in the summer and a month or two on either side.
A surprising number of guests mentioned that they really missed having a small fridge and microwave in their room. They felt it would have been so much better if they could have kept a couple of beverages nice and chilled and also been able to quickly heat up a snack.
While guests generally had compliments for all the other staff, an incredible number singled out staff members at reception for being disinterested and unhelpful at best, and outright rude at worst.
