With three restaurants to choose from here, you can’t go wrong. There are so many choices to be had and the food is beautifully prepared and locally sourced, not to mention, delicious. And to top it all off, room service is available and breakfast is included in your stay.
Although the property is beautiful from the outside and the location is gorgeous, the same cannot be said for the inside of the hotel. Dated furnishings, carpet and decor take you back in time and not in a good way. It is clean, but the furnishings make for a less-than-lovely ambiance.
If you have low mobility, lots of luggage or small children in tow, best to book a ground floor room. There’s quite a hike down a long, dark corridor to get to the lift, and once again, when you step off the lift and have to travel a long way to get to your room.
Some of the guest rooms at Lake Vyrnwy are a bit on the small side and rooms on the upper floors tend to have low ceilings. If you are travelling with more than one person, are tall, or need extra room to maneuver, be sure to specify that you need a larger room when you check in.
