Guests were able to truly unwind with the lovely views of the shore out the windows of the hotel. They reported not only being able to see the water from their guest room, but also from the dining room where they had their breakfast and evening meal. The described it as being very relaxing.

Previous guests were generally quite pleased with the location of this guest house. It's about a fifteen-minute walk from the railway station. The city centre and shore line are very close by and travellers loved being near to all of Scarborough's main tourists attractions.

Almost every review mentioned how good the breakfast is at La Baia Guest House. Everything is served piping hot. They described a generous spread, with an ample selection made with fresh ingredients. Several guests complimented the perfectly cooked poached eggs in particular.

This hotel offers free Wi-Fi, to its guests, but a few people had a hard time taking advantage of that. The reported that the connection was slow, and that it would cut out randomly.

Guests described the walls as being paper thin. Some even went so far as to say that it would have been possible to hold a normal conversation with the person in the neighboring room through the wall. For guests who had the misfortune of being placed next to rowdy neighbhours, this was particularly problematic, as it disrupted their sleep and severely impacted their stay.

A few guests expressed that they had hoped the hotel might have slightly more modern furnishings. They found the current style to be lacking in appeal, and hoped that an update may be coming soon.
