The hotel’s location is great. It is within walking distance of main tourist attractions and there are lots of shopping and dining options in the area. Great restaurants on the main street and on the side alleyways. Liceu metro station just a minute away, for direct transport to anywhere in the city.
Many guests found the service staff to be extremely helpful. In particular, the front desk agent gave previous guests a map of the area and recommended some great eating spots. The agent also helped book tickets to some tourist attractions and was willing to reschedule plans or translate information when it was needed. All of the staff is very pleasant. On occasion, they will even allow early check-in upon arrival.
The rooms at the Internacional Cool Local are large and spacious. There is free water on each floor. The housekeeping staff ensures that your room is kept and tidy. There is daily linen and towel change throughout your stay. The rooms are filled with modern furnishings and include spectacular views of the city.
As it is on La Rambla, previous guests were able to hear the sounds of people partying all night. Street noise and revellers screaming may echo up to the rooms from the hotel lobby. Guests situated in rooms on higher floor were still able to hear the noise.
Some guests reported that the air conditioner hardly worked. Others felt that the bathroom was a bit worn and could use some new renovations. There are older and newer renovated room options which differ throughout the hotel.
