Reviewers liked the smoke-free rooms, often describing them as straightforward but spacious, well-cleaned and more than adequately comfortable for a getaway on a budget. However, a few guests criticized some bathrooms for being small. Families traveling with children liked the availability of kids' bunk-beds in selected rooms and Castaway Cove - the kids' outdoor water playground packed with water slides, water cannons, a toddler pool and a pirate ship. Many visitors said the pool area was inviting as it also featured a heated swimming pool plus hot-tub. Guests largely felt the room rates were competitive for the location.

Theme parks visitors loved the way this hotel was a short walk from the gates of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. There was also a handy theme park shuttle service.
