The outdoor hotel bar is a nice getaway and gives you an alternative to staying in your room when you are not out exploring.

You will find a cordial and courteous staff. They are not shy about saying hello and getting to know you during your stay.

It's All About The Beach

The beach is wonderful and it’s not swamped with vendors harassing you to purchase trinkets and other things. The seaweed is taken away each morning; however you should be able to find some spots that are seaweed free. The Mayan Ruins are also nearby.

A Few Unexpected Discomforts

The hotel is actually a bit far from town and can take roughly a half-hour or more to reach the city centre. The bathrooms could do with a good cleaning and you may encounter bedbugs. Awful smells are not uncommon, no hot water, and poor Wi-Fi will be experienced.

No Electricity And No Toilet

Yep, you got it right! There’s no electricity during certain hours in the evening until early morning. This is done purposely by the way. There are no private bathing facilities either, and you’d better bring flip-flops as the floor in the wash up area is very dirty. Ask for a room with a screen and a window with glass to protect against insects. Don’t count on the Wi-Fi, you will be very disappointed.
