Enchanting Location

The facility is in a lovely locale opposite Whittington Castle and a duck pond. It is near a busy road though. You will find pleasant views from the windows of the inn as well.

Meals are excellent and the choice of food is good. It's reasonably priced with a fine selection of real ales. The breakfast is wholesome with generous portions. It will certainly get you going in the morning. If you decide to have an evening meal try the lamb shank, and rarebit with vegetables.

The facility can be busy with a mix of locales, but the atmosphere is laid back and relaxed

Paying Separate

You have to pay for your drinks separately at the bar from your meal, which can really be annoying to have to leave your meal to pay or order a drink. It's a big inconvenience for patrons and doesn't seem practical at all.

The facility accepts dogs but make you feel rejected at the same time. You have to sit in the reception area, which is rather bland.

Ignorance Is Not Bliss

You may find yourself feeling a bit paranoid wondering why the staff is ignoring you! It seems the regulars have preference and get to enjoy a good chat and faster service. It seems that they are not up to scratch on basic questions about the food; however, this may be the reason they have little to say. The staff just seems indifferent. Then again, perhaps you will catch them on a better day.
