Hotel Wingate by Wyndham Frisco (Frisco, USA)

The hotel is clean; so are the rooms. They are well maintained and the hotel isn't 'rowdy'. Beds are comfortable so a good night's sleep is on the cards. What's not to like!

After a good night's sleep - and the hotel, thankfully, is quiet - the continental breakfast is a good way to start the day. It's appetizing and there's plenty of choice. In fact, it's so popular that guests need to keep on their toes to beat the staff who are at the front of the queue, filling up their plates!

Checking-in and out can be laborious everywhere and for all guests. Imagine then, the potential problems of checking in large 'group bookings': wedding parties, sporting activities etc! Thank goodness, it's super quick here.

Better be quick. They advertise a 10am finish but start closing down well before that! After, say 9.30am, be prepared to have only the bare essentials available.

OK, there's a problem giving a refund to guests who are unhappy with their room and the presence of cockroaches is a common complaint. Yes, also, there must be time limitations on when the pool can be used. Here, though, staff generally (*with exceptions) adopt a high handed, dictatorial attitude towards guests. In line with improvements to the hotel itself, management and staff would benefit from attending an intensive course devoted to customer service.

In a hotel of any reasonable standard, in addition to daily cleaning; bedding and towels should be changed on a regular basis. It doesn't happen here.
