The Windsurfer Resort is a four-star resort located on the Broadwater Gold Coast. Surfers Paradise is a 15-minute drive from the property. There are 29 apartments featuring free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. All of them have balconies with pool and/or garden views, and kitchens equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. Ironing facilities and washing as well as drying facilities are available. The Windsurfer Resort has an outdoor heated swimming pool and a games room featuring billiards, table tennis and arcade games. Other amenities include an airport shuttle (surcharge) a hot tub, a front desk and free parking nearby. Towels on hire for beach use are also available. Barbecue facilities and vending machines for food and beverages are available on-site. There are few restaurants nearby from the property. Harbour Town is three km from the property and Parkwood International Golf Course and Broadwater Parklands are five km away.
The central location of the resort was one of the major advantages that made the guests prefer to stay back at the property. The resort is right across the beach, thus it was a joy for beach lovers. Moreover, all the theme parks and other attractions are nearby from the property and there is easy access to public transport for moving around.
Staff at the hotel was extremely cordial and was always available to help the guests when their assistance was required. Guests said that they felt comfortable at the place because the staff made them feel at home and extended the best hospitality.
There is safe and secure on-site free parking available at the property. There is plenty of parking space available, thus guests travelling with cars were tension free as they didn’t have to run around for parking. Plus, the parking area was easily accessible.
The property had total lack of maintenance. Apartments had housekeeping undertaken only after three to four days, thus keeping them dirty all the time. The carpets and walls had stains and there was dust everywhere. Even the sheets and towels were unchanged for many days together.
The bathrooms in the apartments were in a poor condition. There were problems like lack of hot water supply, leaky taps, broken shower heads and damp smell. Guests said that the bathrooms looked unhygienic and murky.
