About Wild Haven

Wild Haven was originally a hunting lodge (1901 – 1986) later converted into a resort, situated at the foothills of the beautiful Nilgiris Mountain, on the edge of the Mudhumalai Tiger Reserve. And this makes our experience with wildlife very unique, much admired and not easily replicated. Unrivalled local knowledge. “Others read about it, we live it.” Born and brought up in Masinagudi, our connection with this area stretches back for generations. We are proud of our forefathers - hunters-turned conservationists who first established the sanctuary. The Wild Haven culture is firmly grounded in our people, in who we are, what we believe and how we behave. The hospitality we provide has delighted some of our guests to an extent that today most of our guests are either repeat guests or have been referred by word of mouth. Some of our guests from different parts of India have visited us every year since we opened our doors to tourists over 25 years back! We walk that extra mile to enhance the level of experience guests take back with them. Our team at Wild Haven consists of local people who have been employed to give livelihood to the local people around the resort.
