Quite a good number of guests have expressed their appreciation for the impeccable customer service accorded them by the helpful and friendly staff which, they have noted, extend their endearing service to guests throughout their stays here.

The issue of poor housekeeping has popped up in some guests' reviews of Whitburn House Hotel many of whom have reported odd musty smells in the rooms. Many guests though say the odors are mostly subtle and not overwhelming.

Several guests have observed that the time-honoured look by this hotel is quickly going downhill and the hotel has started sporting a rather tired worn out look. The hotel's management though says that a major refurbishment exercise is in the pipeline.

There has been some griping by a few guests who have reported that some of the appliances in the rooms are either broken or too dated.
