Hotel Westmont Inn & Suites Kissimmee (Kissimmee, USA)

It's a truly remarkable setting in one of the region's most sought after areas and just across the road from the beach. Walk for another 15 minutes and you hit Clearwater Beach. Perfect!

Hi-ho! ...Most folk come here to visit Disney, Great Universal Studios etc. These and other attractions are accessed with ease from the hotel. What a bonus!

There's been an element of re-vamping here, so facilities are on the 'up'. That said - the area generally - and access to the beach and resort facilities, are all top notch. All in all, the advice is to stick with it ... and count the cost of paying over the odds for less value, somewhere else!

They don't do breakfast here, but they offer free morning coffee and cookies. It is a bit of a knock back though, for the hungry early riser in search of food.

The place is quite old and it's clear that they've sidelined basic maintenance issues which have now combined to bite them on the backside! It needs an upgrade and 'PDQ'. The fact that rubbish is left lying around in corridors should be addressed via the introduction of proper cleaning procedures.

There are exceptions, but staff generally, tend to have a chip on their 'communal' shoulder. Their attitude - it's mainly the males - is not what should be tolerated by guests in this, or any other, hotel environment.
