The views from some of the rooms are incredible and must be the envy of many, more expensive, hotels. With the beach and the sea so close, the local bus stop to Lancaster just across the road and this Morecambe location, almost on the edge of the Lake District ... the cost of staying here is incredibly low.

There are four floors here so, if you have a problem with stairs, you must specify a room on one of the lower floors.
The entrance isn't particularly appealing. This is a pity because the rooms are spacious, a bit on the basic side, but actually not badly decorated. There are occasional blips like cleaning being skimped and fitted sheets which definitely don't. These things need attention but they are fairly minor.
There is a lack of general enthusiasm. Customer satisfaction, the apparent disinterest on the part of some staff members and the overall impression that they feel that your presence is something of an inconvenience; all combine to make the visit far from happy. Also, and not surprising in such a tall building, water pressure is poor and the shower is, at best, barely warm.
