A highlight for many staying at this hotel is the food served in the Channel Restaurant. The full English breakfast is tasty and the evening meals are impressive yet reasonably priced.

The members of staff at West Rocks Hotel are highly praised by those who have stayed here. It seems that they are well-trained and do their best to make sure that any issues that arise are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

One of the reasons guests enjoy staying at West Rocks Hotel is because of the historic character of the building. Originally three Georgian town houses, the hotel opened over a hundred years ago and retains many of the original features such as ornate ceilings and sash windows that evoke a bygone era.

The new owners of West Rocks Hotel are in the process of redecorating the rooms and public spaces. There is a possibility that this may slightly inconvenience guests who are staying at the hotel but, based on comments, the disruption has been minimal and the newly decorated rooms look very welcoming.

Some of the en-suite bathrooms are on the small side according to feedback. There is also the feeling that the decor and fixtures and fittings would benefit from being replaced and generally modernised. As mentioned already, the management is in the process of renovating the rooms.

A few guests reported that they found the rooms cold at times. The sash windows were a little draughty and the radiators seemed inadequate to fully heat the rooms. The management supplied heaters to solve the problem.
