The vast majority of guests here were members of groups using the hotel as a host venue. Happily, when it comes to hosting any kind of large-group gathering, this property appears to get things right. Many were impressed by the array of conference spaces here as well as by the spacious meeting facilities at this hotel.
While it seems that the staff here wear multiple hats - often covering check-in duties and bar service at the same time - guests report that they are friendly and happy to assist as and when needed. Also, the parking facilities here earned quite a lot of praise; finding a space at other hotels might be an issue, but certainly not here.
This hotel also offers pre-ordered meals as part of its events package and partaking guests commented on the overall quality of the menu. Additionally, the full English breakfasts at this hotel also come highly commended.
There were, unfortunately, a number of reports of noisy rooms here - especially during the weekends and during the Christmas season.
The Wi-Fi at this hotel proved to be a major problem, with guests reporting that they were unable to access the network from within their rooms. This proved to be a particular bugbear for business travellers staying as conference guests at this hotel.
Additionally, a number of guests were disappointed to note that their Jacuzzi-style bathtubs did not appear to be working.
