Wellies is a small friendly hotel owned and run by Chris from the UK - an old Asia hand who has lived in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Indonesia. info@hotelwellies.jp / +81 267 46 1670 Although the hotel has British themes, we hope to also just be a really fine relaxing, unique hotel. We are surrounded by green and most of our rooms have been stylishly renovated and decorated with memorable wallpaper. Our breakfast is very popular and mostly homemade, we offer a classic British breakfast and a fish option. We also serve a 4 course dinner and have a Bar menu. We speak English and Japanese. We also recommend local restaurants based on our personal experience and guests feedback. We have a super friendly mascot, Freddie - a Standard Poodle (if you are scared of dogs, we will keep him away). We are located in Naka-Karuizawa, about 7-10 minutes drive from JR / Outlet / Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza and are only 5 minutes from Hoshino area. We provide a free pick up and drop off service from JR or Naka-Karuizawa - depending on the traffic and also rent bicycles. We can give you lots of advice on local attractions. Karuizawa is a four season resort, the winters are beautiful, snowy and cold; spring is green and cool; summers are a little crowded, but cooler and less crowded than Tokyo / Osaka and other Asian cities; Autumn has stunning leaves.
