Hotel Waters Edge Condominiums (Fort Walton Beach, USA)

You are staying in individually owned condos that range from impressive to sensational; it's that sort of place! The front desk is there to help everyone and they do this efficiently and with a friendly manner.

Remember, they're all different, with varying facilities; but people don't invest in settings like this to keep a rundown property. So, generally, they're really well furnished and equipped, with a real bonus being spectacular Gulf views. *If you are lucky enough to get a condo on the fourth floor, or above, the views over Santa Rosa Sound are truly sensational.

The two pools are spotlessly clean and never get over crowded. Lying by the pool and listening to the sea ... things don't get much better than this. A few minutes' walk takes you to Tom Thumb's convenience store and lots of toys, snacks, ice etc.

If it's not slow .. which it always is; it will have stopped all together ... which often happens. 'They' say it's due to folk dragging water in and gumming up the machinery. Whatever the reason, get a lower floor if you've got a problem with stairs, because you will have to use them!

The pools are great, but don't seem to be controlled for the benefit of residents only. Instead, they make a nice day out for all and sundry; local residents and those on vacation in nearby complexes where the facilities aren't as inviting.

Sometimes when things go wrong - and it can happen anywhere - there's a delay in resident staff turning up to sort it out.
