Many guests say that the Waterloo Cross is in a fantastic location in Cullompton, close to M5. It is easy to find from junction 27 on the motorway. Guests say that the ‘pub grub' is good and well worth a visit.

Several guests say they like the ambience and the delicious tastes. Guests say that the weekday lunch times are especially good value for money as there are plenty of choices and good size portions served. Guests appreciate the staff as they find the members friendly and efficient with nothing being too much trouble for them.

Guests travelling with a large family appreciate the spaciousness of the rooms. They say that there are plenty of supplies of bottles of water, coffee and tea. The bathrooms provide plenty of towels, which was handy for them. At breakfast time, the tables are moved to accommodate the large family group which guests say is a nice gesture by the staff to make them feel welcome.

Some guests say that the rooms are unclean with dust and cobwebs in the corners. They smell old and of stale carpets. There is black mould on the windows and door panels. The rooms are poorly illuminated as well.

Many guests say that the staff is courteous but food takes a long time to be served. Many times, after a long wait, the food that arrives is overcooked and dried out. No menu is offered for breakfast so guests mostly do not know what is available.

Guests say the rooms are not soundproof and noises of people talking in the adjacent rooms are heard clearly. The windows are not double glazed either, so voices of people smoking and talking outside the rooms gets too noisy and disturbing.
