The Bali Dream Tour is a worthwhile, day long, exploratory excursion and Agung Rai Museum of Art is one of many fascinating places of interest.

An idyllic setting.

The accommodation is in a uniquely attractive setting. Very quiet and peaceful, Ubud Palace is a 20-minute walk away and the legendary Monkey Forest is somewhat nearer.

Wonderful staff.

Everyone is so friendly here, you feel ‘at home' immediately. Members of staff are also extremely efficient; a fact that is evidenced by the high standards of cleanliness in the villa accommodation units and throughout this small complex.

Excellent accommodation.

Perfect in respect of cleanliness and facilities; you'll look forward to returning here at the end of a long day. Accommodation units are spread around the lush gardens and with a large private terrace and bar area, outside and inside are truly impressive. The climate is very humid but the air conditioning works like a dream. In keeping with all other aspects, the food is great too. A magical location and a romantic setting. Who knows, 'some enchanted evening!'...

Road rage + monkey business

It takes about half an hour to walk to the town centre and as part of the journey is uphill, it can be quite draining in these humid conditions. The walk takes the path by Monkey Forest. This is quite hazardous due to speeding cyclists. It becomes even more exciting at night. Maybe best to use the four times a day free shuttle, but you'll need a taxi for the return trip as the shuttle is only one way.

The Wi-Fi signal is frustratingly poor. Here, though, any frustration quickly disperses.

Laundry: the harsh facts.

Clothes coming back from the laundry feel very harsh to the skin … but, as others have been heard to remark; ‘if that's the only problem - who cares!'
