Hotel Villa Santa Maria (Amalfi, Italy)

Hotel Villa Santa Maria is set along the Amalfi Coast on a winding road that is both scenic and remote. You have to walk down a lot of stone steps to the property from the road, and from the property to the private beach, but the breath-taking views and beautiful surroundings make it well worth the effort. Also, hotel staff will help carry your bags to and from the main road, which is a great help. You can reach the centre of town in about 20-30 minutes on foot and easily by car or bus so you are still within reach of everything the city has to offer.

There are only seven rooms and a suite so the property is very quiet and peaceful. Guestrooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Additionally, the large indoor and outdoor common areas are super cosy and never crowded, and the views from the terraces and guestrooms are stunning. This country house is a great option if you are looking for a charming, romantic accommodation in the Amalfi Coast.

Staff at the country house is very friendly and welcoming. Whether helping with carrying bags up and down the many steps or arranging a ride to a nearby restaurant, they go out of the way to make things easy.

Although beautiful, there are lots of steps to access this property so if you have mobility issues it may not be a good choice.

The property does not have onsite parking so you must leave your car on the main road.

It would be nice if Villa Santa Maria had an onsite restaurant for lunch and dinner. That said, they offer a great breakfast with lots of variety.
