Villa La Meridiana is a charming abode, refined, with its unmistakable ocher and Pompeian red striped facade, a few steps from the sea. It has a suite overlooking the garden (with canopy bed and vaulted ceilings, a living room with sofas and a wrought iron lounge for those who want to read a book from the small library) which will add, from 1st April 2013, four suites on the main floor (each of them dedicated to a salentine literary character: Girolamo Comi, Giulio Cesare Vanini, Vittorio Bodini, Luigi Corvaglia) all different from each other for furniture. La Meridiana has the typical salentine star vaults and look out onto a terrace that looks circular the sea. Here and there, some pieces of modern art. On the main floor you will also find rooms with splendid mosaics depicting varieties of Salento's fruits (some very hard to find): figs, pomegranate, medlar, "Pizzutella grapes" and so on. It is supplied with all comforts (air conditioning and heating with thermostatic control, direct dial telephone, wi-fi, minibar, small tea room, TV room, library) and, in addition, privacy and freedom offered by a stay that is free of the rituals of life and retains only comforts, from daily cleaning to personal assistance 24 hours a day. Around the Mediterranean garden with bougainvillea and roses, you can find honeysuckle and jasmine and the birds flying over Santa Maria di Leuca in the period of migration. Quality shopping within walking distance, in the former stables of the villa, where you can buy wine, olive oil and other typical products of Salento cuisine selected from "La Dispensa di Caroli" and taste the marvellous liqueur of roses. Villa La Meridiana has no restaurant, but you can book a table at the restaurant of Hotel Terminal, where you will be served the best meals of Salento. Guests have access to the swimming pool and private beach. The beach (equipped with deck-chairs and awning) is right in front of the villa, beyond the waterfront: the old guards "bagnarola", a sort of dressing room (in the same colors of Villa La Meridiana) that communicates directly with the sea and which was used by the ladies of the house in order to wear a bathing suit and go into the water away from prying eyes, in which you can book your yoga sessions. In panoramic position, the nineteenth-century Villa La Meridiana evokes a dreamy atmosphere. "Maria Alessandra" suite on the ground floor of the villa has two bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a fireplace, two bathrooms with bath and shower.
