Positive Reviews

positive:

Great Location and Value

Just a stroll from the attractions, train and bus stations of lively central Kirkcaldy and the shores of the sparkling North Sea, this spot has a relaxing atmosphere with all the basics covered. Wedding facilities and planning are top notch with everything included to put your mind at ease. The dining rooms are delightful and the food is popular among locals as well. Breakfast is served daily and includes plentiful portions of both hot and cold items as well as a hearty and tasty Full Scottish option.

positive:

Superb Staff

Polite, friendly and efficient, this team exceeds all expectations from arrival to departure. All departments are commended for their efforts here. Superb, friendly and efficient, this team exceeds all expectations from arrival to departure. All departments are commended for their efforts here.

positive:

Pleasant, Adequate Rooms

These rooms are no frills, but definitely well-supplied, cosy and spotlessly clean.

Negative Reviews

negative:

No Lift

The missing lift does no favours for those carrying heavy luggage or experiencing mobility issues. Request a ground floor room if available, or perhaps ask the front desk for help if you're having trouble.

negative:

Needs a Refurb

Some didn't care for the charm and character and rather felt the place was just shabby and needed an overall upgrade. Dingy/stained linens, towels and dirty carpeting needs replaced in all areas, decor is dated, pillows are hard and Wi-Fi access should be extended throughout the premises.

negative:

Freezing Water

The shower may take longer than fifteen minutes to warm up - or may never warm up at all. Complaining doesn't seem to help much. It seems you either get a cold shower or no shower some days.
