Hotel Vedado (Havana, Cuba)

The hotel is located a ten-minute walk from the famous Malecon with various well-known neighbourhoods nearby. The city is reachable with a taxi drive and there are plenty of places to visit.

Some guests were content with the hotel overall given the area. They thought the beds were comfortable and the rooms are of good size. The bathroom fixtures were relatively new and there is also air-conditioning and TVs. For the price, they found it sufficient.

The breakfast buffet is said to be nice and well-stocked with items. The breakfast room is large and there is plenty of space to sit down. There is fresh fruit, coffee, breads and made to order eggs. Most guests found this to be a nice morning meal.

There is no hot water for guests to take showers and clean themselves. Some guests were not expecting there to be no hot water at all and were very disappointed at this. How can a hotel not have this basic amenity?

Most guests agreed the hotel was found to be filthy and generally unclean. There was mold, peeling paint and dirt on walls. The rooms are also found to be gross with cockroaches and are obviously left to be uncleaned.

The guests had a hard time walking around the hotel because there was little to no lighting in the hallways. Sometimes the power went off completely. The elevator also has no light inside so guests had to use their phone to light in the dark.
