Guests very much appreciated the complimentary shuttle buses offered at the hotel, which they said ran regularly during the week. On top of this, the rooms were said to be clean, spacious and functional; very quiet thanks to triple glazed windows; the free minibar was also popular, and convenient parking options are found on-site, with free parking nearby.
Not only is Van Der Valk Brussels Airport close to Brussels International Airport, but some of those who stayed said it was just a short walk away from a train station for easy downtown access.
The food here was thought to be tasty across all meals, with great service to match and a wide selection of food on offer at breakfast. Furthermore, the staff was thought to be friendly and accommodating, with many guests reporting being made welcome with a drink.
Van Der Valk Brussels Airport guests occasionally mentioned that they thought the restaurant and breakfast buffet prices were too high, and others were disappointed to find that airport shuttles do not regularly run in the weekend. Another issue mentioned by a few guests was that there is nothing much else in the area apart from the airport.
A few guests said that they thought the rooms to be past their prime, with others finding them to be not so personal and better suited for business travellers. Despite this, guests nevertheless considered them to be tidy and comfortable.
