Urquinaona was thought to offer cheap, basic accommodation with decent air conditioning — not bad value for money to some, considering there was also reportedly a good level of Wi-Fi — and some guests were happy to find that their room had a balcony.
The reception staff was found to be amiable and helpful, not to mention happy to help with local recommendations. Guests said there was even a simple, complimentary breakfast on offer to fill you up, including your choice of coffee, sweet and savoury options, and fresh fruit, although a few people were not so impressed with this.
Some of those who stayed at Urquinaona reported finding small rooms and a likewise cramped, slow lift. On top of this, a few people mentioned finding that some rooms only have windows opening onto another building.
Guests occasionally said noise was possible due to the busy street and surroundings, as well as the nearby club, so take your earplugs.
