Cheap Lodging For Toronto

Toronto can be very expensive and guests said this hotel was inexpensive and a bargain for the area. Some guests described it as one of the cheapest options in the city, others said the price was the major selling point.

positive:

Basic Hostel With A Few Quirky Touches

These accommodations were summed up as adequate for a short stay with clean and basic rooms. The porch refrigerator with bottled water and an honesty box for guests to leave money and the simplified check-out procedure in which keys are dropped in a bucket were among the quirky features noted.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Surliness, Inefficiency & Poor Customer Service

Guests had numerous problems with the staff at this hostel. Complaints included non English speaking staff members, rude, surly and generally inhospitable behaviour and slow and inefficient service.

negative:

Hot & Noisy With Poor Ventilation

The combination of Toronto's warm summer temperatures and non working air conditioning units left many guests feeling hot and bothered. They complained that the windows were small and the building poorly ventilated. When air conditioning units did work, the noise kept many guests awake at night. Hallway fans did little to ease the discomfort.

negative:

Didn't Meet Expectations

Many guests were disappointed with this hostel and said the property was not as depicted on the website and that the rooms assigned were not what was requested. There were also complaints about the level of cleanliness throughout the facility.
