Situated in the hub of the city, Tune Hotel Newcastle is a great hotel for those who love to travel and have fun. Only recently opened, guests can take pleasure in modernized décor at a reasonable price. Guests also have access to chic attractions and culture. Contemporary designed rooms are kept simple to allow guests to customise their stay. Optional add-ons can include towels & toiletries, Wi-Fi and late check out or early check in. Most of these are also included in the hotels optional ‘comfort pack’. Guests amenities include a 24-hr reception and free luggage storage. Throughout the day, drinks and titbits are served in the snack bar of the hotel. Only seven minutes by foot from the Newcastle Central railway station, the Tune Hotel Newcastle is a 10 minute stroll from the Sage Gateshead cultural centre. Theatre Royal is only a few feet away, and New Castle International Airport is six miles by car from the premises.

The hotel exterior is quite clean even though it's in the heart of the city. You will find plenty of places to wine and dine. There are plenty of tourist attractions and shopping as well. You should have no problem walking around in the evening.
You have to give the staff their due. They are a friendly lot and they offer around-the-clock service. They always seem to have a smile, which helps to make you feel very welcome.
The price, along with the location, is a combination you can't beat. Though the facility is somewhat a step or two up from a hostel, it's worth the price you pay. Rooms are modern and clean offering great value for money.
The rooms are quite small, or perhaps you can use the term “compact.” For example, it's hard to walk around the bed. Nonetheless, this is fine if you are staying for a short period or you are not in the room for long periods of time. If you have claustrophobia, it's probably best to stay away.
It seems like they forget to double-glaze or insulate the rooms properly. You can easily hear noise from outside. The walls are thin so you can hear doors shutting and closing, and other visitors raucous comings and goings during the night hours. There's no storage for clothes, no views, no kettle in the room, no on-site parking, and no cupboards and drawers.
You have to pay extra for tea or coffee making utensils. TV, Wi-Fi, and the use of the hairdryer are included; however, if you book directly you will incur an additional charge.
