Hotel Trinco Blu by Cinnamon EID (Trincomalee, Sri Lanka)

Chaaya Blu features a dive desk and a PAD certified dive centre. Guests can take lessons, rent equipment and enjoy an incredible underwater experience. The infinity pool, with plenty of parasols and loungers and a pool side bar is a great place to relax after a day of vigorous water sports. Ocean activities include diving, windsurfing, whale watching and jet ski adventures. Guests report that the facilities are first-rate and the staff and dive instructors experienced, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Guests comment that bicycle and car rentals are available and the chic resort is a great base for exploring the island. Guest said they loved a good hike or adventure to local points of interest in the morning and then had a relaxing afternoon shopping or hanging out at the beach. Guest said there is always something interesting going on and the hotel tour desk is happy to help arrange interesting excursions.

The main restaurant serves buffet style and the offerings are fresh and varied. Several guests mentioned that they enjoyed dinner dinning at the Crab Restaurant. The Crab offers a diverse array of crab dishes as well as other delicious offerings of the catch-of-the-day. Guests said the food at the resort was above par.

Some guests remarked that the hotel restaurant and bars are popular with locals and that they sometimes felt slighted as the wait staff interacted more and served the locals faster than hotel guests.

Guests noted they are pleased that the hotel provides free Wi-Fi to stay in touch with family and friends, but noted that the Wi-Fi service is sometimes frustratingly slow.

Several guests remarked that when a tour group is checking in, it would be helpful to have additional staff working on the reception desk to speed up the process.
