It has to be said that, for a motel-style offering, the accommodations here really are quite roomy. For sure, you can easily get a family of three of four in a double room at Travelodge Page without feeling overly cramped. Impressive.
Okay, so there might not be that much to choose from (cereal, fruit juices, fresh brewed coffee, hot oatmeal, bagels, pastries and fresh fruit) but what you do get you get plenty of, and it's free. Moreover, you get to eat it outside while you look out over some great views of Lake Powell. What's not to like?
An easy walk to reach local shops and restaurants and a straightforward drive to see nearby attractions like Glen Canyon Dam and Horseshoe Bend ensures this hotel is likely to make a great base for whatever kind of stay you have in mind.
It is an unfortunate fact that this hotel is long overdue a makeover, inside and out. The exterior looks like something from the 1950s while the accommodations are blighted with stained carpets, worn furnishings, and moldy bathrooms. Action needed.
Sometimes it's fine and dandy while other times it's so temperamental it leaves you screaming at your device like a mad person. Be prepared!
Numerous guests have commented on the rather abrupt service they received from some of the customer-facing employees whilst staying here. Something for the hotel manager to take a look at perhaps..?
