Guests stated that the hotel is quite affordable in comparison to others in the same area.

Guests noted that the front-desk staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful, and quick to accommodate special requests.

The hotel is within walking distance of Eola Lake Park, near plenty of entertainment, shopping and sightseeing options downtown, and there is a wonderful diner right next to the property.

According to guests, housekeeping personnel could be doing a better job cleaning the rooms, as they noted dead bugs in the corners and under the bed as well as live ones throughout the rooms and bathrooms. The rooms smelled musty and despite the property being non-smoking, they could smell smoke from previous guests. Some guests found the sheets to be old and dirty and received equally unclean ones after requesting fresh sheets from housekeeping. The bathrooms were reported to have back mold in the tub, around the sink and along the walls.

The rooms are old, dated, and in need of a makeover, as guests reported doors that wouldn't close completely and with broken locks, light switches that wouldn't work, cracked and missing tiles in the bathroom, holes in the walls, and well-used, scratched and broken furniture in the rooms. They also noted that the water in the bathrooms didn't drain well and that there was little to no hot water to shower with.

Several guests experienced bite marks and upon further examination determined they were caused by bed bugs.
