Hotel Timothy Beach Resort (Frigate Bay Beach, Saint Kitts and Nevis)

Guests wanted to extend their stay at Timothy Beach Resort, due in part to the excellent pool area. The large swimming pool had plenty of sun loungers, and guests never experienced a day that was too crowded or noisy.

Guests loved the homey ambiance of this hotel, and felt that staying here was a way to experience local culture, while meeting the friendly locals. Instead of a slick and polished mega resort, guests got no-frills, clean and comfortable rooms for a great price.

While somewhat slow at times, customer service was found to be top notch by most guests. Gracious island hospitality made guests feel at home, and everyone from the bar staff to the housekeeping crew were a pleasure to deal with.

Guests felt that food from the restaurant was adequate, but lacked variety. Vegetarians, or those with special diets, might find it difficult to track down a satisfactory meal. Guests also found that menus had been Westernised, with not much of the local flavour shining through. The good news, however, is that restaurants and beach bars are just steps away.

While many guests were happy with the beach, some felt that it could have been better. Guests noticed evidence of erosion, and several recommended bringing water shoes to contend with the rocks and shells. Mobility impaired travellers might also be disappointed by the slope in front of the beach, or the stairs guests needed to take to access the best swimming.

Most guests loved the beach front nightlife at this hotel. From time to time, though, a few found it hard to wind down at night, with thumping music and sounds from fellow guests.
