Timber Creek Chalets hotel is a nature lover's paradise, with hiking and mountain scenery right outside your front door. Featuring a heated outdoor swimming pool, and free Wi-Fi, Rocky Mountain National Park is a five-minute drive away. Guests can take their pick of chalets that sleep up to eight guests and larger cabins that can accommodate as many as 14. Log furniture and rustic decor add to the mountain ambiance, and guests have all of the comforts of home, such as cable TV, a cosy fireplace and a furnished outdoor patio with a gas grill. Most units have either a full kitchen or kitchenette, and some units are dog-friendly. Make the most of the area with complimentary snowshoe rentals, or spend a rainy day in the games room. Good food isn't far away with restaurants like Cascades and Big Horn. Beaver Meadows Visitor Center is a 15-minute drive from Timber Creek Chalets hotel.
If you are picky about cleanliness, you shouldn't have any problems here. Guests said that accommodation was kept in sparkling clean condition, and with the exception of a few BBQs that needed a good scrub, bathrooms, kitchens and living quarters were as clean as could be.
Staff were pleasant and courteous, and one of guests' favourite things about staying here. In addition to a warm greeting, staff were a pleasure to interact with whenever guests encountered them on the grounds.
Guests loved being in the middle of nature, and particularly enjoyed seeing wildlife on the property. It wasn't uncommon to spot an elk or even a bear, and to top it all off, guests could fall asleep to the soothing sounds of the Fall River.
While accommodation was always clean, guests had a list of items that needed some attention. Fussy televisions often had a bad reception, and broken appliances and burnt out light bulbs weren't uncommon. And perhaps the biggest concern was the shower temperature, which would often change from freezing cold to scalding hot.
Guests said that kitchens were under stocked, and could have used a few more things like mixing bowls, baking sheets and large knives. Basics like toilet paper, soap and coffee were also in short supply, and guests frequently had to ask for more.
If problems occurred, guests had to travel a few minutes up the road to the sister property. This was a pain when it came to reporting problems, or when guests needed to ask for supplies.
