Thornbank House's hosts are said to go out of their way to help whenever possible, offering friendly and professional service when needed and staying out of the way when not. On top of this, guests said they were very helpful with dispensing local information — and had plenty of reading material on offer — as well as with organising trips or transfers.
The breakfast service on offer here was thought to be fantastic, offering decently-sized servings of delicious, hearty and healthy fare, cooked from local ingredients. The guesthouse is also said to be located within easy walking distance of both Bowness and Windermere villages, for those wanting to walk off their meal (or find further dining spots and bars), as well as close to bus services and the Beatrix Potter Attraction.
Those who stayed at Thornbank House reported that they were happy to find cosy, quiet and spotlessly clean rooms, with pleasant en-suite bathrooms and plenty of space.
