The William IV Inn has been a hostelry for over 150 years, and provides a comfortable base from which to visit and enjoy the attractions of the medieval city of Norwich. There are five comfortable en-suite guest rooms to choose from, all having complimentary Wi-Fi Internet connectivity, remote control TV with Freeview, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. The William IV Inn has a free CCTV protected car park, and is non-smoking but provides an outside seating and smoking area. The comfort and convenience of its guests is paramount for this establishment: for example breakfast will be freshly prepared at the time requested. The bar is open all day from mid-morning, and the restaurant serves freshly prepared meals with varied menus, making use of seasonal local produce to a maximum extent. Norwich is a fascinating city, and has two Cathedrals in addition to the Castle and Museum.

The William IV Inn is an informal and friendly place to stay. The owners and staff impress their guests as being welcoming and easygoing. Lorraine the landlady is unfailingly kind and helpful to her guests. The Inn is located in a quiet residential are
The rooms are of a good size, and kept beautifully clean. They are described by guests as being reasonably basic but recently renovated, and well equipped: “Clean, neat and comfortable”. The en-suite bathroom includes an excellent shower.
The breakfast is of generous proportions and beautifully cooked, and served at a time to suit guests. Indeed the other meals provided for lunch and dinner guests were of the same high culinary standard, described by a satisfied guest as good quality home
Guests were disturbed by loud music at 8:00 am.
It is difficult to find the Inn without a satnav, and it is basically a pub with rooms, not a luxury hotel by any means. Whilst the room was adequate the bathroom was in need of refurbishment. A guest's husband found the pillows too soft.
It was noisy on a Saturday night, and the car park was a bit small. A guest found that the breakfast layout was “a little confusing”.
