The William IV Inn has been a hostelry for over 150 years, and provides a comfortable base from which to visit and enjoy the attractions of the medieval city of Norwich. There are five comfortable en-suite guest rooms to choose from, all having complimentary Wi-Fi Internet connectivity, remote control TV with Freeview, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board. The William IV Inn has a free CCTV protected car park, and is non-smoking but provides an outside seating and smoking area. The rooms are of a good size, and kept beautifully clean. They are described by guests as being reasonably basic but recently renovated, and well equipped: “Clean, neat and comfortable”. The en-suite bathroom includes an excellent shower.
The breakfast is of generous proportions and beautifully cooked, and served at a time to suit guests. Indeed the other meals provided for lunch and dinner guests were of the same high culinary standard, described by a satisfied guest as good quality home

It is difficult to find the Inn without a satnav, and it is basically a pub with rooms, not a luxury hotel by any means. Whilst the room was adequate the bathroom was in need of refurbishment. A guest's husband found the pillows too soft.
